Scolopendra, venomous animal

We are lucky that the Scolopendra is an animal that does not exceed 45 cm long because it eat all the animals they encountered. Scolopendra is commonly known as centipedes, although unlike these, having two pairs of legs more. One end with sharp nails and poisonous.

The scolopendras are effective predators that hunt small animals, usually arthropods. Prey is caught between the large number of legs. Then, twisting the body, they nail clamps poisonous, paralyzing and killing their prey. It has exaggerated the capacity of its venom, in fact, only one case of death by the bite of the scolopendras.
Most surprising is that the centipede, is able to hunt larger animals and poisonous animals.
